Introducing the Atlantis White Paper: Making Orbit Livable

Today, we’re excited to share the first public look at Atlantis Space City—a bold, practical plan to build habitable destinations in space.

For decades, the idea of living in orbit has been reserved for astronauts or science fiction. But that’s changing. Reusable rockets, modular habitats, and private-sector momentum are shifting the landscape. Leveraging these recent breakthroughs, we aim to leapfrog traditionally slow design cycles of space stations and accelerate humanity’s access to Low Earth Orbit.

Atlantis begins with LUXE: a luxury space hotel built from a converted Starship, designed for private stays, curated experiences, and microgravity exploration. It breaks even with just 96 guests.

Next comes PRIME: our first orbital platform with artificial-gravity that can host over 100 guests for longer stays in space. PRIME makes space accessible for everyone. It is a place which excites, inspires and creates life-long memories.

Ours is not a speculative vision. In 2023, NASA selected SpaceX under its CCSC-2 program to explore converting Starship into a permanent orbital habitat (SpaceNews, 2023). The hardware exists. The economics are sound. The demand is already emerging.

What’s needed now is execution—and a growing network of believers.
